VP, US Public Sector Sales Leader

North America Sales is seeking a U.S. Public Sector Sales Leader to lead a high-performing team of Account Management professionals responsible for driving profitable growth across key public sector markets, including Defense, Intelligence, National Security, Civilian Agencies, Systems Integrators, and State, Local, and Higher Education (SLED).
This role is accountable for accelerating growth through consultative, outcome-based solution selling to the organization’s largest and most strategic U.S. Public Sector customers. The organization supports a broad technology and as-a-service portfolio and is focused on building deep, trusted relationships aligned to customer missions, strategies, KPIs, and desired business outcomes.
The position requires significant time in Washington, DC; candidates based in the DC metropolitan area are strongly preferred. U.S. citizenship is required, along with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Lead, inspire, and develop a seasoned public sector sales organization. Establish clear strategy, goals, and performance expectations while coaching, mentoring, and attracting top talent. Build a strong culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Sales Execution Own and execute growth strategies across the U.S. Public Sector portfolio. Manage pipeline rigor, lead large-scale and multi-year transformational pursuits, and consistently deliver revenue, margin, and growth objectives in complex selling environments.
Customer & Partner Relationships Develop and sustain executive-level relationships with federal agencies, senior decision-makers, systems integrators, and public sector partners. Serve as a trusted advisor, aligning solutions to government missions and modernization priorities.
Strategic Planning & Coverage Define and implement go-to-market strategies that optimize coverage across direct and partner sales motions. Navigate federal procurement processes, contracts, and compliance requirements to achieve business objectives.
Solution-Led Selling Champion consultative, solution-oriented selling approaches. Translate customer challenges into compelling value propositions and business cases that drive workload adoption and close high-value opportunities.
Market & Industry Expertise Maintain deep awareness of public sector trends, IT modernization initiatives, and procurement regulations. Leverage market insight to identify growth opportunities and inform strategic decision-making.
Skills & Experience Leadership Excellence Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing, matrixed sales organizations. Proven ability to inspire followership, drive accountability, and deliver results through others.
Public Sector Expertise Deep understanding of U.S. public sector missions, agency operations, procurement processes, and regulatory requirements, including contracts and compliance.
Relationship Building Established executive relationships across federal agencies, systems integrators, and reseller ecosystems. Strong consultative and influence skills.
Complex Deal Leadership Proven track record leading large, complex, multi-year transformational deals and delivering sustained public sector revenue growth.
Strategic Acumen Ability to assess competitive and market dynamics, develop effective counter-strategies, and influence stakeholders in a highly matrixed and politically complex environment.
Resilience & Adaptability Strong problem-solving capability, comfort navigating ambiguity, and the resilience required to succeed in a regulated, mission-critical environment.
