UX Writing Specialist

• Location: Amsterdam (hybrid)
• Duration: 5-months initial (possible extensions)
• Rate: €60 per hour (40 hours per week)

Overview We are looking for a UX Writing Specialist to help deliver clear, consistent, and user-focused content across digital products and platforms. Working as part of cross-functional product teams, you will contribute to the creation and optimisation of content that supports intuitive, high-quality user experiences throughout the end-to-end customer journey.
This role suits someone with a strong command of English, a learner’s mindset, and an interest in combining content, technology, and data to improve digital experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality English UX content for digital products and features
• Adapt content for different audiences, platforms, and channels
• Support content localisation by preparing translation briefs and managing translated content
• Apply established UX writing, voice and tone, and brand standards
• Ensure content is placed appropriately within the user journey to create a cohesive experience
• Identify and help resolve language and translation-related issues
• Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, product managers, researchers, and marketers
• Use research, data, and performance metrics to inform content decisions
• Deliver work on time and to agreed quality standards
• Communicate clearly with stakeholders and contribute to presentations or documentation when required
• Actively seek feedback and continuously develop UX writing skills

Required Skills & Experience

• Some experience in UX writing or content design
• Experience writing for online digital channels, ideally within e-commerce
• Native-level fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong ability to learn new tools, systems, and processes quickly
• Comfortable working with technical tools (e.g. content management systems, task tracking tools)
• Ability to interpret data and use insights to improve content
• Awareness of localisation and translation best practices
