Project Manager – Technical Event Production

As a Project Manager in the Technical Event Production team, you will be pivotal in driving the successful delivery of projects while fostering strong client relationships and contributing to  growth strategy. This role requires a dynamic individual with extensive experience in technical event production, a keen eye for detail, and exceptional leadership skills. Responsibilities:

  1. New Business Development:
    • Collaborate with client and account management teams to design, specify, quote, and convert new business opportunities.
    • Prepare comprehensive proposals including design concepts, 3D visualizations, event narratives, and delivery timelines.
    • Ensure all quotes align with technical feasibility and client requirements.
  2. Project Management:
    • Lead the pitch/quotation process, ensuring efficient allocation of internal resources.
    • Liaise with Creative and Technical departments to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Maintain accurate records of opportunities and correspondence using the hire management system.
  3. Pre-production & Logistics:
    • Coordinate crew and resources allocation, including trucking, third-party suppliers, and accommodation.
    • Conduct site visits and create technical drawings in collaboration with relevant teams.
    • Develop detailed project timelines and manage budgets effectively.
  4. On-site Management:
    • Oversee crew and subcontractors, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with all stakeholders.
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality services in line with Sparq and client standards.
  5. Post Event:
    • Conduct debriefs and maintain project records for account development purposes.
    • Complete reconciliation processes and issue final invoices to clients.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong leadership skills with significant experience in technical event production.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Proven track record in project management, including budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., HireHop, technical drawing software).
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and meeting deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to adapt to changing requirements.
