Systems & CAFM Development Manager and Lead Innovation in Estates & Facilities Management.

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for optimizing facilities operations through cutting-edge technology? We’re seeking a Systems & CAFM Development Manager to spearhead the development, management, and enhancement of Estates and Facilities services. This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to influence key operational processes, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and quality within a prestigious healthcare environment.

What You’ll Need:

  • Extensive experience with Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, including data management, development, and optimization
  • Strong understanding of assets management, condition appraisal, and SFG 20 maintenance standards
  • Proven project management skills, particularly in data collection, process development, and policy implementation
  • Excellent leadership capabilities with previous experience in managing both directly employed and contracted teams
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse stakeholders
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations, Building Engineering Maintenance (BEM) procedures, and compliance standards
  • Ability to develop and implement policies, performance metrics, and continuous improvement strategies

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Premises Assurance Model (PAM) and NHS operational standards
  • Experience in document management systems and creating detailed reports for boards and compliance purposes
  • Skills in risk management, incident investigation, and safety procedures
  • Industry certifications related to facilities management, health & safety, or project management

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated senior management experience within a complex healthcare or large-scale facilities environment
  • Proven track record of leading CAFM systems development and managing multidisciplinary teams

  • Willingness to undertake relevant training and stay updated on industry developments
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external contractors, and key stakeholders
  • Operational flexibility to support 24/7 facilities needs as required
