Job Summary: FTC 3 Months £18ph 37.5 Hours per week Monday to Friday
We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Shopify Product Uploader and Auditor to join our e-commerce team. This role is responsible for uploading and maintaining product listings on our Shopify store, ensuring data accuracy, brand consistency, and SEO optimisation. The successful candidate will also carry out regular audits of existing listings to maintain data integrity and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Uploading:
- Create, upload, and update product listings on Shopify with complete and accurate information (titles, descriptions, tags, pricing, images, stock levels, variants, barcodes, weights, etc.).
- Ensure all product details align with our brand tone, style, and merchandising strategy.
- Coordinate with the content, design, and stock teams to gather required information and assets for each listing.
- Manage product categorisation, collections, and filtering options to ensure a seamless browsing experience for customers.
- Update stock systems with outer quantities, categories, and barcodes.
Auditing:
- Conduct regular audits of the online product catalogue to identify and correct inaccuracies, outdated content, or inconsistencies.
- Check for errors in product data, pricing discrepancies, stock availability, and broken links or images.
- Ensure compliance with internal standards and Shopify best practices.
Optimisation:
- Implement SEO-friendly product titles, descriptions, and tags to improve search visibility.
- Suggest improvements to product pages based on customer feedback, industry trends, and analytics.
- Work with relevant teams to update and improve product imagery and presentation.
Coordination:
- Coordinate with Marketing, Design and Purchasing teams
- Coordinate with the content, design, and stock teams to gather required information and assets for each listing.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience using Shopify for product uploads and management.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Good understanding of e-commerce platforms, product lifecycle, and digital merchandising.
- Competency in using spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), including CSV file management.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills, with a good command of spelling, grammar, and tone.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment that requires swift execution while maintaining quality standards
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with Shopify apps for bulk editing, SEO, and inventory management.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva or Adobe Photoshop for basic image editing.
- Previous experience in auditing or catalogue management in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Experience of working on Asana or with any other equivalent project management tools like Jira, Monday, etc.
