Senior Software Engineer (Fintech)

Are you a dynamic and highly skilled software engineer with a knack for designing scalable, reliable payment systems? We are seeking a hands-on Senior Software Engineer to join our Pay-in Flexibility team within the Fintech business unit. You will be instrumental in developing and scaling cutting-edge payment solutions, including “Buy Now, Pay Later” and multi-currency payment capabilities, enabling clients worldwide to pay how and when they want. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of fintech innovation, shaping systems that safeguard revenue, ensure compliance, and deliver seamless user experiences.
 
Required Skills:

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in software engineering, with a focus on JVM microservices (Java/Kotlin, Dropwizard/Spring)
• Proficiency with Kafka, MySQL, and containerized workloads orchestration
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, and experience with monitoring tools such as Grafana and Graphite
• Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve high-priority production issues
• Demonstrated technical leadership in designing solutions, conducting code reviews, and leading technical conversations
• High level of autonomy with excellent analytical and architectural decision-making skills

 
Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with ML pipelines and data-driven solutions
• Familiarity with on-premise deployment tools such as Harness/Kuhub
• Knowledge of payments industry regulations and compliance frameworks

 
Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 10+ years of professional experience in software development, preferably in fintech or high-availability systems

• Ability to work autonomously and lead complex architectural projects
• Strong collaboration and mentorship skills to guide junior developers
