We are supporting a global organisation.

• This is a freelance contract for 11 months initially.
• The rate is €70 per hour, it is 40 hours per week.
• This would be 2 days per week hybrid remote working for the Amsterdam office.

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with a passion for accuracy and compliance? We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to lead critical accounting activities, ensure regulatory adherence, and contribute to financial transparency across multiple countries. What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CIMA, ACCA, CRA, or CPA are highly desirable
• 3-5 years of broad accounting experience, including exposure to multi-country ledgers and complex accounts
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and compliance requirements including SOX, tax filings, and statutory audits
• Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and adapt to changing priorities
• Fluent in spoken and written English

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience coaching and mentoring junior team members
• Familiarity with process improvements and system optimisations
• Additional language skills relevant to international operations

Preferred Education and Experience:

• A degree in Accounting, Finance or related field combined with specialised certifications (CIMA, ACCA, CRA, CPA)
• 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a global or multi-country environment
