Senior Change Manager – Technology Transformation (Engineering Focus)

  • Contract: 6 months (likely extensions)
  • Rate: €144 per hour
  • Location: Amsterdam (hybrid, 2 days/week on-site)

Overview
We are supporting a leading global organisation undergoing a large-scale technology transformation programme. As part of this, we are looking for a Change Manager to drive adoption across engineering teams and support the rollout of new ways of working, tools, and processes.
This is a hands-on role focused on scaling innovation across a complex, global tech environment.

The Role
You will play a key role in delivering change initiatives across a large engineering population, helping to embed improvements in areas such as:

  • Software development lifecycle
  • Engineering ways of working
  • Emerging technologies (including AI-driven solutions)

The organisation has already run multiple pilot initiatives, and your focus will be on scaling these across teams and business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute change strategies for engineering-led initiatives
  • Support the rollout of new tools, processes, and ways of working
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable change plans
  • Work closely with engineering stakeholders to drive adoption at scale
  • Deliver communications, training, and engagement activities
  • Identify and address resistance to change within technical teams
  • Ensure consistent implementation across multiple teams and regions

Key Challenges

  • Scaling change from pilot programmes to thousands of users
  • Engaging stakeholders who may have limited exposure to change management
  • Bridging the gap between technical teams and business change approaches
  • Operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Required Experience

  • Proven experience delivering change management in technology environments
  • Strong understanding of change frameworks (e.g. Prosci, APMG, or similar)
  • Experience working with engineering or product teams
  • Track record of delivering large-scale transformation or rollout programmes
  • Ability to translate between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Background

  • Experience in software development environments
  • Exposure to Agile ways of working
  • Familiarity with modern engineering practices or AI-driven initiatives
