About the Role We are seeking a Senior Accountant – Indirect Tax to support operational VAT compliance and related accounting activities. This role is critical for ensuring timely VAT filings, payments, and reconciliations across multiple jurisdictions during a period of high compliance activity.
You will work closely with the Finance Operations team, helping maintain accurate financial records, supporting month-end close, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

• Execute the operational VAT compliance process and ensure accurate, timely filings and payments.
• Perform account reconciliations, post journal entries, and maintain the general ledger.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities.
• Assist in preparation of regulatory reports and filings.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with tax and statutory requirements.
• Identify process improvements and potential compliance risks.

Requirements

• Proven experience in VAT/indirect tax accounting.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations.
• Experience managing VAT compliance across multiple countries.
• Ability to work independently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Experience with tax compliance systems (e.g., Avalara) is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, proactive mindset, and excellent communication skills.
