JOB TITLE:  Scenic Project Manager

Location North West

£50,000 – £55,000
 

Brookwood are pleased to be back working with this leading Events Company 
As part of  their ongoing expansion,  we are looking for  enthusiastic Scenic Project Manager

The ideal candidate will be customer-focused, an effective leader, possess diverse experience in scenic design, and have a solid understanding of live event production technologies.

This role is perfect for a set builder looking to advance their career in the industry or an experienced project manager seeking growth. The successful applicant will thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and excel under pressure. 

What you will be doing 

  • Collaborate with the projects department, supporting technical project managers or working directly with clients to oversee scenic projects from initial inquiry to event completion.
  • Aid the business in maintaining and developing key client relationships.
  • Attend and chair client meetings and site visits.
  • Take clear and detailed briefs, advising clients on appropriate solutions for their events.
  • Develop creative ideas and designs for client events, including preparing CAD drawings.
  • Specify suitable materials and finishes, and create quotations, including budget management.
  • Update booking software with event progress and milestones.
  • Book and manage set and stage crew.
  • Maintain high standards of health and safety.
  • Work on-site at venues across the UK and occasionally internationally.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to help grow our scenic department.
  • Assist other departments and perform additional duties to meet the business’s needs.

Who we are looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the professional live events industry, specializing in set and stage design.
  • Proficient in using CAD software packages.
  • Excellent understanding of event production with strong communication skills to explain solutions to clients clearly and without jargon.
  • Passion for developing creative designs and ideas that exceed client expectations.
  • Curiosity to learn, along with resilience and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Polished and professional demeanor, projecting confidence and enthusiasm to clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and efficiently react to tasks.
  • Highly organized and proactive, capable of managing multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Ability to lead by example and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused yet commercially minded.
  • Keen eye for detail and high presentation standards.
  • Full UK Driving Licence and own transport.
