🔧 About the Role As Sales Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for setting and delivering the regional sales strategy, driving margin growth, and coaching a team to consistently exceed commercial targets. This role will also involve supporting the company’s digital transformation initiatives—leveraging tools and platforms to enhance customer service and streamline sales processes.
📈 Key Responsibilities

• Set and monitor team sales targets in line with wider business strategy
• Maximise market share and margin opportunities through effective territory management
• Identify and pursue new business and niche market segments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and prospective clients
• Lead from the front—quoting, inputting orders via SAP, and overseeing CRM usage
• Support customer adoption of digital platforms and tools
• Drive team performance through regular coaching, target setting, and appraisal
• Ensure compliance across all sales activities
• Contribute to succession planning and employee development within the sales function

🧠 What We’re Looking For

• A commercially driven leader with proven experience in steel, metals, or industrial distribution
• Strong team management skills and the ability to lead by example
• Hands-on familiarity with CRM and SAP systems (or similar)
• Comfortable combining traditional account management with modern digital sales channels
• A strategic thinker with the ability to identify trends, solve problems, and deliver results
