Role Overview The Revenue Assurance Analyst is responsible for safeguarding company revenue through proactive identification, quantification, and prevention of revenue leakage. This role combines deep business understanding of finance, payments, and partner lifecycle with advanced analytics to detect leakage patterns, quantify financial impact, and design scalable controls and data products. The analyst works closely with stakeholders across Finance, FinTech, Product, Commercial, Fraud, Tax, and other teams to turn insights into actionable initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, lead, and deliver complex analytics to identify, size, and monitor revenue leakage problems, from hypothesis generation and data scoping to dashboards, controls, or product changes.
- Own workstreams for data analytics solutions based on business requirements, bringing them from idea generation to implementation with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with business owners to frame ambiguous issues into clear analytical questions, define success metrics, and translate findings into actionable business recommendations.
- Build intuitive dashboards and reports using tools such as Tableau, Grafana, or similar.
- Contribute to revenue assurance governance through robust analytics and insightful presentations.
- Manage broad stakeholder sets (Finance, FinTech, Fraud, Tax, FP&A, R&C), aligning on problem framing, communicating complex analyses clearly, and ensuring buy-in on recommendations and trade-offs.
- Apply best practices in coding, documentation, peer review, and version control to ensure analyses are robust, reproducible, and suitable for long-term use (e.g., SOx reconciliations, dashboards, monitoring routines).
- Support junior analysts through mentoring, review of work, sharing best practices, and assisting with analytical structure and stakeholder communication.
- Participate in community projects, share learnings, and help improve shared tooling, data assets, and analytics standards across the company.
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a quantitative role, ideally within ecommerce, finance, banking, or related sectors.
- MSc or PhD in a quantitative discipline (Statistics, Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, or similar).
- Proficient in SQL, Python, PySpark, and/or other statistical or advanced scripting languages.
- Experience applying data mining techniques and statistical rigor to solve real-world problems.
- Skilled in using insights from disparate data sources and data visualization tools like Tableau or similar.
- Strong problem-solving ability with high attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
- Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
