Product Operations Specialist – SQL
 
We are supporting a global organisation.
 
6 Months – 40 hours per week- €63 per hour (excluding VAT)- Hybrid remote 2 days in the Amsterdam office per week
 
 
JOB SUMMARY

The Product Operations Specialist (POS) supports and participates in the day-to-day product operations of the relevant team or stakeholder. They assist by conducting research, managing data, maintaining documentation, and establishing new support processes as needs arise. The POS facilitates communication and enablement in product development and supports the delivery of a single product

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handles all day to day operational responsibilities in the team including but not limited to; financial reconciliation reporting, escalations, bugs and PO’s.

Front line support to all operational and product stakeholders, answering questions and raising issues to relevant areas in a timely fashion.

Continuously strives to find the root cause when handling operational tasks and is able to propose long term and innovative solutions.

Collaborates closely with Product Operations Lead and Senior Product Operations Specialist to understand needs of stakeholders (Product, Tech & Operations) and supports on ad-hoc tasks where required.

Support projects involving a single product or operational team.

Support implementation of process changes across the product, supplier, and internal teams (CS, Finance)

Continuously aims to identify process and product improvements, understands how to translate these into business cases.

Contribute to scoping and delivering smaller features for products with well-understood value propositions.

Supply Product Teams with relevant product feedback loops from CS and Finance with the aim to reduce touch points and cost wastage.

Drives projects and processes individually once signed off from Product Operations Lead.

Own, document, and optimize operational processes (such as billing, pay-out, and accounting) when collaborating with a product supplier (e.g., Etraveli).

Coordinate product readiness for geographies or partners and maintain relationships with operational leaders

REQUIREMENTS OF SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS
– Experience in product operations (or similar) roles, analyzing operational issues and coordinating across multiple stakeholders to drive process improvements

– Experience within a customer service or payments related type of role

– Ability to structure, distill, and clearly document complex operations processes to drive clarity for the business and make actionable recommendations in a concise and persuasive manner

– Ability to work independently with autonomy of workload

– Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

– Requires excellent organizational skills and a sharp focus on detail

– Able and experienced in analyzing data to identify drivers of operational issues, using basic-to-intermediate excel/google-sheet skills

– Intermediate or expertise in SQL is required.

– Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and influence direct stakeholders within role scope.

– Basic knowledge of products, data infrastructure, front-end and back-end systems and understanding of product development cycles and agile methodologies.
