Planning Lead – ERP, Jira, and MS Project

We are supporting a global organisation.

This is initial 12 months contract.

The daily rate is negotiable Inside IR35.

This role requires travel to London around once to twice per month.

  • Develop a sophisticated planning framework aligning it with the Methodology and Deliverable Responsibility Matrix.
  • Establish global planning standards, ensuring precision and consistency across multifaceted project plans and interdependent cross-Workstreams.
  • Collaborate closely with Project Managers and Workstream Leads to harmonize planning and ensure their plans are being maintain to the requisite quality.
  • Integrate risk assessment methodologies within the planning framework, enhancing anticipatory risk management across workstreams, refining the RAID Management approach to fully integrate management of risks and issues within plans.
  • Strategically forecast resource needs across the Resource Supply/Demand plans, optimizing allocation for seamless execution across transformation endeavors.
  • Define and embed performance metrics within the planning framework, facilitating continual progress tracking and informed strategic adjustments.
  • Manage and maintain the high-level Programme Roadmap and Integrated Roadmap, aligning top-down strategic direction and managing the interface with bottom-up detailed scheduling.
  • Manage the interface between Programme Leadership and detailed scheduling, including leading what-if scenario planning in re-planning efforts, and providing summary planning formats for Leadership and SteerCo-level review.
  • Partner with Workstream Leads, E2E Leads, BPT BP Leads, Project/Programme Managers, and the Systems Integrators to coach, advise, and guide on the planning best practices.
  • Manage all cross-programme interdependencies, ensuring a cohesive Integrated Programme Plan
  • Facilitate cross-Workstream and cross-Project cohesion by defining requirements for and implementing a high-quality planning platform.
  • Maintain flexibility for real-time adaptations, ensuring alignment with dynamic project landscapes.
  • Instill stringent quality benchmarks within the framework, working with the Delivery Director to drive meticulous execution.

Skills:    

  • English language proficiency
  • Ability to work in Matrix organization
  • High degree of stress resistance/resilience
  • University degree in business management or comparable course of studies. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven record leading planning on complex, multi-year transformation programmes comprising multiple interdependent workstream and component projects
  • Technical specialism in project/programme planning best practices, coupled with a deep understanding of leading toolsets, including Jira and Microsoft Project Online
