Finance Transformation Manager (Record to Report)

  • Location: Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite in Amsterdam
  • Contract: 6 months (with potential for extension)
  • Rate: €117/hour (based on 40 hours/week)

Overview:
An international organisation is undergoing a major Finance Transformation programme to future-proof its operating model and support long-term strategic goals. We are seeking a Finance Transformation Manager (R2R) to lead and deliver critical components of the Record-to-Report workstream.
This is a hands-on delivery role within a complex, global stakeholder landscape. You will be responsible for driving end-to-end planning, design, implementation, and change activities aligned with the wider finance transformation programme.

Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Execution

  • Lead the planning and execution of R2R transformation initiatives
  • Own and manage the R2R workstream roadmap, ensuring alignment with overarching Finance strategy
  • Track milestones, manage risk and issue resolution, and report regularly to programme leadership

Design & Implementation

  • Support the design of the future Finance Operating Model including process mapping, RACI, KPIs, and automation enablers
  • Facilitate workshops, document process changes, and support knowledge transfer and training plans
  • Oversee the transition to future state and manage go-live readiness

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate across Global Process Owners, Functional Finance leads, HR, Technology, Communications, and Change teams
  • Maintain strong relationships and alignment across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Act as a subject matter expert and positive driver of change

Change, Communication & Governance

  • Partner with Change and Communications teams to ensure business readiness
  • Implement governance frameworks (SLAs, KPIs, performance tracking)
  • Support leadership forums with structured documentation and decision-making inputs

Deliverables Include:

  • End-to-end R2R transformation and automation plans
  • Operating model frameworks, including Service Delivery Models and RACI matrices
  • Change impact assessments, training and communication plans
  • Readiness checklists and governance documentation

Candidate Profile:
Experience & Background

  • Strong experience in Finance Transformation within large and complex global organisations
  • Proven success delivering Record-to-Report (R2R) process transformations or finance operating model implementations

Skills & Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of Finance Operating Models and R2R best practices
  • Strong grasp of finance systems, tools, and emerging technologies including automation
  • Confident in managing multiple senior stakeholders and working across functions
  • Detail-oriented, delivery-focused, and pragmatic in execution

Essential Expertise:

  • R2R / Accounting domain knowledge
  • Finance transformation experience in a multinational environment
  • End-to-end transformation delivery including design and implementation
