ICT Business Analyst
Oxfordshire HQ – Hybrid/Remote
Salary up to £45k

We are looking for a dedicated ICT Business Analyst. In this key role, you will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to investigate and model business functions, processes, information flows, and data structures within ICT projects. Your expertise will help drive efficiency and improve user experiences across our services.
Key Responsibilities:
As an ICT Business Analyst, you will:
- Manage business requirements throughout the project lifecycle employing a variety of business analysis techniques.
- Conduct business process modelling (As-Is and To-Be) and lead stakeholder management activities, including user acceptance testing.
- Facilitate the discovery analysis necessary for the creation of the Forces’ business cases.
- Identify new business capabilities and advise senior management, SMEs, and suppliers to ensure effective delivery and alignment.
- Act as the liaison between ICT and the business, ensuring that deliverables meet requirements through effective communication and gap analysis.
- Lead efforts to re-engineer business processes and seek continuous improvements that enhance operational performance.
- Promote the positive profile of ICT through strategic influencing, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Be responsible for technical analysis of new capabilities and services e.g. Robotic Process Automation, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and many other cognitive services and emerging digital capabilities.
You will be working with:
- Two customers located in separate locations, collaborating with senior officers and department heads.
- Stakeholders across multiple projects, ensuring consistent adherence to best practices.
- A user base of approximately 13,000 employees, impacting business operations on a regional and national scale.
Ideal Candidate:
- Extensive experience working with senior business stakeholders in a complex ICT environment.
- Proficiency in business process modelling and customer value chain concepts.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven aptitude for influencing and persuading stakeholders.
- Knowledge of IT architecture, networks, cloud technologies, and infrastructure.
- Experience utilising new technologies such as RPA, ML and AI
- A full UK driving licence for necessary travel to different locations.
