Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Sr. Human Resources Business Partner/HRBP (HRBP) to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing plant environment. The HRBP will serve as a key liaison between the HR department and plant operations, ensuring alignment of HR strategies with business goals and fostering a positive workplace environment.

Specific Responsibilities


Strategic Partnership

  • Collaborate with plant leadership to understand business objectives and develop HR strategies to support operational goals.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and organizational development.

Employee Relations

  • Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing employee concerns and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Mediate conflicts and facilitate resolution of workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Escalate alleged violations of policies to the appropriate parties (Employee Relations Manager, Security, etc.).

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
  • Oversee the local onboarding process within the plant to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Coordinate all hiring needs between the business and Recruitment.

Performance Management

  • Support the implementation of performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, and the use of talent development tools.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance-related issues.

Training and Development

  • Identify training needs and coordinate development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Compliance and Policy Management

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and programs.

Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to drive decision-making and identify trends related to employee engagement, turnover, and performance.

Initiatives

  • Contribute to initiatives at the plant, campus, regional, or global level to ensure continuous improvement and alignment with company goals.
  • Projects may include developing training programs, enhancing mentorship programs, and creating career development initiatives.

Labor Relations

  • Develop expertise in the collective bargaining agreement and its implications for the plant’s operations.
  • Provide cost-effective recommendations to improve productivity and associate engagement.
  • Work with business leaders to prevent grievances and guide resolution when they occur, in coordination with Labor Relations.

Other Duties

  • Perform other duties as assigned by senior HR leadership.

Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR experience required, with a focus on employee relations and talent management in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience in a union environment and interpreting collective bargaining agreements is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Workday is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $82,500 – $125,550, with the specific salary influenced by factors such as experience, education, and work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
