Head of Supply Chain
 
The Head of Supply Chain role reports directly to the VP of Ops and Supply and will take the responsibility for Supply Chain in its entirety. You will be working very closely with the business to support and lead day-to-day Supply Chain operations and shape the strategic direction of your department. 
You will be comfortable working in a highly autonomous environment and able to work independently, as well as having demonstratable experience of working at speed and in a start-up or scaling business.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Plan and Execute the overall Supply Chain strategy
  • Build, develop, set direction, lead and scale a capable team through effective distributed leadership style to drive high employee engagement, foster a spirit of unity and teamwork, and a great work culture
  • Manage the journey of products from Supplier to Customer, taking ownership and suggesting solutions for process improvements and transport efficiencies
  • Conduct regular Freight Forwarder reviews to negotiate best rates and services, fostering positive relationships to maintain
  • Responsible for demand and supply forecasting, inventory planning, capacity management and purchasing, reviewing processes to optimise productivity
  • Drive maximum product availability while trading-off between healthy inventory levels
  • Manage operational budget and improve operational Supply Chain cost through product and process improvement
  • Ensure the end-to-end customer journey is met within given timescales and measure against success criteria

 
Experience & Skills

  • Supply Chain professional with extensive experience in the FMCG / E-commerce sector
  • +2 Years at Senior Level
  • Experience in Cost Management, Freight, Demand Planning, Inventory Planning and Forecasting, Logistics/Warehousing & Distribution – 3PL Management
  • Highly analytical mind set, with the ability to analyse and report on data, and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
  • Proactive problem-solver, getting in front of issues by understanding sector trends
