A leading consumer goods brand are looking to streamline their global supply chain and make smarter purchasing decisions.

The Role: 

Head of Demand Planning – this role will be key in improving accuracy of sales and margin forecasting and instrumental in aligning stock availability to sales volumes. This role would be perfect for someone who has strong experience within demand planning/procurement and is commercially savvy!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain sales forecasts for UK, EU & USA
• Working cross-functionally to make sure the company holds optimal levels of stock
• Ensure optimum level of ordering is achieved
• Build out KPI dashboard for demand planning to track and report against
• Ensure that the sales forecast and stock ordering is truly reflective of demand
• Check and evaluate data to highlight issues which may impact inventory availability
• Generate the best possible demand forecast in collaboration with the Business Ops & Finance teams
• Track actual orders against demand forecast, investigating variances to understand the impact on sales and margin
• Monitoring of sales against forecast, identifying trends, changes in demand and working with stakeholders to plan promotional activity and seasonality into demand plan

Requirements:

• E-commerce/Retail/Wholesale experience
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business
• Comfortable to work autonomously
• Strong Demand Planning
• Commercial Mindset
• Exceptional forecasting skills
• Ambitious with a ‘roll your sleeves up’ mentality

What’s in it for you?

The successful Head of Demand Planning will receive a salary of around £70,000 – £75,000 and the role is based onsite in Essex.
