Digital Design Team Planner
12 Month Fixed Term Contract
Location: Hereford
Salary: £36,000
Hybrid – 2 days per week on site
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Digital Design Team Planner to oversee project, resource, and stakeholder management for our Clients’ brand, design, artwork, and animation teams. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with trading, CRM, social, studio, and brand teams to plan and prioritize projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Your goal will be to facilitate timely and quality output from the digital design teams by providing clear briefs and managing communication effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Successfully manage design and brand projects ranging from small to large scale, demonstrating strong project management expertise.
- Develop and maintain a resource plan for the digital design, artwork, and animation teams on a quarterly, monthly, and weekly basis.
- Align team resources with business priorities, proactively identifying and addressing capacity constraints to the Head of Brand.
- Oversee the design briefing process and continuously improve procedures to meet evolving business needs.
- Ensure strict adherence to timelines and deadlines for briefs, stakeholder feedback, and work delivery.
- Monitor team inputs and outputs to ensure all briefs contain adequate information, and review outputs for compliance before approval is sought from requestors and brand teams.
- Establish and implement design team principles, including feedback rounds and deadlines, to optimise efficiency.
- Serve as a central communication hub between design teams and the wider business, clarifying design plans for all stakeholders.
- Collaborate with design, artwork, and animation leads to enhance team capabilities and ensure adherence to brand guidelines and creative direction.
- Act as the primary contact for all design-related initiatives, utilising your understanding of brand identity and the creative process to facilitate effective stakeholder communication.
- Contribute creative ideas and concepts to enhance project outcomes and support designers.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Timely delivery of design, artwork, and animation projects.
- Successful execution of small to large scale brand-oriented initiatives.
- Effective resource planning and prioritisation to meet quality benchmarks.
- Consistent alignment of brand execution across all channels according to brand guidelines.
- Achievement of strong results against KPIs, particularly in areas such as email effectiveness and social engagement.
Competencies Required:
- Extensive experience managing a range of projects.
- Proficiency in managing and delivering on briefs from inception to completion.
- Ability to develop and oversee resource plans for large teams.
- Strong communication skills to interface effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on performance evaluation.
- Assertiveness and confidence to challenge existing processes constructively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, persuasion abilities, and effective time management.
- Previous team management experience is essential.
- A background in a creative, design, or brand environment is preferred, along with a genuine interest in design and branding.
