Are you a skilled Data Architect with a passion for shaping the future of data management and architecture within a dynamic and evolving environment? We are looking for an experienced professional to join our Digital Services team, where you’ll play a crucial role in working with multiple stakeholders and driving data excellence across our organisation.
What You Will Do:
In this pivotal role, you will engage with business, architecture, and operational teams to oversee all aspects of data management within our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Setting Data Standards: Develop and communicate data standards organization-wide and champion their implementation in the context of policing.
- Managing Stakeholder Relationships: Listen to and interpret the needs of technical and business stakeholders, effectively managing expectations and facilitating crucial discussions.
- Designing Data Solutions: Provide guidance on the upgrade, management, decommissioning, and archiving of data in accordance with data policy, while maintaining the organisation’s data technology architecture.
- Championing Best Practices: Advocate for data architecture across various levels of government and set standards for the data architecture community.
- Data Governance: Evolve and implement data governance frameworks, assuring integration of data services to meet a variety of business needs.
- Technical Consultancy: Collaborate with Solution and Technical Architects to ensure compliance with enterprise data architecture while managing the full data product life cycle.
- Line Management Responsibilities: Lead and support your team, including Data Engineers and Associate Data Engineers in their professional development.
Who You Are:
We’re looking for someone who is not only technically adept but also possesses strong communication and stakeholder management skills. You will need:
- A comprehensive understanding of data architecture principles and practices.
- Proven experience in developing data standards and managing communications with diverse senior stakeholders.
- Expertise in data profiling, source system analysis, and presenting insights for data use.
- A proactive approach to evolving and defining data governance policies.
Special Conditions:
- The role may require travel within the Warwickshire area on an as-needs basis.
- Candidates will be subject to Management Vetting (SC + NPPV3) security clearance.
