Configuration Analyst
Join our clients’ transformative Records Management System (RMS) Replacement Programme as a Configuration Analyst and play a crucial role in one of the force’s most significant change initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of modern policing technology, working on the configuration and implementation of the Niche RMS to support operational excellence and data integrity. Your expertise will directly impact crime management, data security, and operational efficiency as you help shape the future of police records handling.
Required Skills:
- Proven hands-on experience configuring Niche RMS within a policing or criminal justice environment
- Strong understanding of Niche data structures, workflows, and configuration options
- Ability to configure security roles, permissions, validations, and business logic
- Experience supporting high-volume operational systems, including testing and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of police operational processes and compliance requirements
- Excellent documentation and communication skills to facilitate knowledge transfer
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with data migration activities and ensuring data model alignment
- Familiarity with integrations, interfaces, and role-based access control implementation
- Previous involvement in large-scale public safety or law enforcement projects
- Awareness of audit, security, and information management standards in policing contexts
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Relevant degree or equivalent professional experience in IT, Systems Analysis, or related fields
- Demonstrable experience in configuring complex RMS systems, preferably within UK policing or law enforcement sectors
- In-depth understanding of police operational workflows and records management best practices
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders, including technical teams, operational staff, and suppliers
- Willingness to engage in knowledge transfer and support post-implementation initiatives
- Flexibility to support phased delivery, testing, and go-live activities over a 12-month period
