Business Development Manager – End-User & Consultants

What will you do? As a Business Development Manager (BDM), your primary focus will be to support the development of sales through strategic partners across the UK & Ireland.
This role focuses on our End-Users as well as Security Consultants with a focus on demand creation, with the responsibility of identifying prospective end-users within key verticals, including Stadiums and Venues, Government, and Retail.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in increasing revenue by qualifying prospects, managing the sales process, and closing new business. You will work closely with our Sales team to refine your target list, develop new leads, and bring value to our channel partners.
Key Responsibilities of the Role:
- Drive demand in key verticals by creating a plan to achieve or exceed targets
- Prospect, qualify, and develop new opportunities to add to the pipeline
- Coordinate with internal resources such as Sales Engineers and other Sales Managers to create new opportunities and close business
- Develop strategic relationships with external partners as a source of lead generation
- Be meticulous with Salesforce and other pipeline management tools to ensure accurate forecasting and reporting
- Participate on behalf of the company in industry events
- Be able to deliver the value proposition for our full suite of products and perform compelling software demonstrations that lead the prospect to take the next step

Who we are looking for
We are looking for someone who can contribute to a dynamic and energetic team and who thrives when working alongside others. You will have a background in working with technology either within the security industry or even outside of it. You are networked well within either the industry or within our key verticals to demonstrate your previous success. Collaboration amongst a UK and European team is something that comes naturally, and you enjoy creating new relationships. You thrive on working against targets and overachieving them and want to be part of an evolving company with a high ambition for growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or 5 years of relevant industry/vertical experience in a sales role
- Proven experience in business development, sales, or a relevant role
- Experience in the security industry is advantageous but not essential
- Understanding and experience selling into Arenas, National and Local Government, Retail, Education, or Transport will be valuable
- Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas and generating new business opportunities
- Capable of creating content for presentations and proposals for clients with ease
- Patient and strategic to win long-term projects but a hunter by nature
- Fluency in English language (written/spoken)
