We are seeking an Audit Director to join our Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) team. In this role, you’ll provide essential financial guidance, risk assessment, and compliance support to our AEC clients. You will lead a team of audit senior managers, working closely with clients to ensure financial transparency, accuracy, and compliance with regulations. Your expertise will help build strong, lasting client relationships, uphold industry standards, and contribute to our business growth.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial audits for AEC clients, including project contracts, financial statements, revenue recognition, and cost controls.
  • Review and assess internal controls, financial processes, and accounting practices, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Build and nurture strong client relationships through clear communication, understanding client needs, and delivering exceptional service.
  • Offer financial and strategic advice to clients, helping them make informed business decisions.
  • Supervise and support a team of audit senior managers, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Stay informed about industry regulations and accounting standards, ensuring client compliance while identifying potential financial risks and offering practical solutions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to shape the firm’s strategic vision, business goals, and financial plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance audit efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications:
Education:

  • A Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.

Experience:

  • 8+ years of experience in auditing, with a focus on AEC clients.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and AEC industry practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in audit software and financial analysis tools.
  • Experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to high ethical standards and confidentiality.
