About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Controller – Reporting to join a dynamic finance team within a global organisation. This role is ideal for a technically strong and detail-oriented finance professional looking to take ownership of reporting activities and gain exposure to international accounting standards.
You’ll act as a key member of the reporting and operations team, responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, supporting the end-to-end audit process, and working closely with both regional and global finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship with the group reporting function, ensuring high-quality and timely financial submissions.
- Support the external audit process by coordinating deliverables and liaising with auditors to meet all deadlines.
- Apply and maintain accounting standards (UK GAAP / US GAAP) across the P&L and balance sheet, challenging and validating information where needed.
- Prepare technical accounting papers on key topics such as provisions, judgments, and new accounting standards.
- Maintain and monitor key SOX controls and reconciliations between local GAAP and US GAAP.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Lead key monthly financial meetings and support ad hoc financial reviews and projects.
About You
- ACA qualification preferred (ACCA/CIMA also considered).
- Minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience in financial reporting or technical accounting.
- Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the confidence to challenge where needed.
- Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
