Senior Project Manager – live event productions

Location: Borehamwood (approx. 25 minutes from Central London) on site

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm, with flexibility for evenings and weekends

Brookwood are seeking an experienced and technically accomplished Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-profile live event productions. This role is central to ensuring the seamless integration of lighting, audio, and video elements, while maintaining exceptional creative and technical standards.
You will act as both a project leader and technical specialist, driving projects from initial concept through to execution, while fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of technical production projects, from initial client brief through to final execution
  • Interpret and challenge client briefs, providing informed recommendations and creative solutions
  • Develop accurate, commercially sound proposals and quotations aligned with client objectives
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver innovative and technically robust project solutions
  • Specify equipment requirements and produce detailed technical documentation
  • Oversee onsite delivery, coordinating multiple technical disciplines including lighting, audio, video, and scenic
  • Lead, motivate, and manage technical teams across multiple concurrent projects
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients, both in person and remotely
  • Monitor project performance, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful delivery
  • Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to team members, supporting their professional development
  • Adapt to evolving project requirements while maintaining alignment across all stakeholders

About You

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in lighting design and technical project delivery within client-facing environments
  • Strong expertise in creative lighting design and systems integration
  • Solid working knowledge of audio, video, and scenic technologies, with a willingness to expand further
  • Proven ability to manage complex projects and coordinate multidisciplinary teams
  • Commercially aware, with the ability to balance creativity and budget considerations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging a wide range of clients
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • A proactive leader who inspires high standards and fosters team development
