AV Technician 12 Months FTC

Audio Visual Technician  8-12 months FTC 
Location : Central London (80%)  and Dublin (20%)
Candidates residing in London or Home Counties  Contract Start: April or May (flexible)
  Overview We are seeking an experienced AV Technician to support onsite audiovisual systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AV support, solid networking knowledge, and experience with integrated audio systems. Exposure to control system programming is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide onsite technical support for AV systems, ensuring high availability and performance
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across AV environments
• Support and maintain audio-visual equipment including displays, conferencing systems, and control interfaces
• Assist with AV system installations, upgrades, and commissioning
• Work closely with internal teams and end users to deliver high-quality support and user experience
• Troubleshoot network-related AV issues (e.g. IP-based AV, VLANs, multicast)
• Maintain documentation, asset records, and support logs
• Escalate complex issues where necessary and coordinate with vendors

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as an AV Technician providing onsite support
• Strong understanding of AV systems and signal flow (audio and video)
• Good networking knowledge (IP addressing, switching, basic routing, VLANs)
• Experience with audio integration and tuning
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities

Desirable Skills

• Experience with control system programming in at least one of the following:
  • Extron
  • Crestron
  • AMX
  • Q-SYS
• Familiarity with conferencing platforms (e.g. Teams, Zoom Rooms)
• Experience with AV-over-IP technologies
• Relevant AV or networking certifications
