Audio Visual Technician 8-12 months FTC
Location : Central London (80%) and Dublin (20%)
Candidates residing in London or Home Counties Contract Start: April or May (flexible)
Overview We are seeking an experienced AV Technician to support onsite audiovisual systems and infrastructure. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AV support, solid networking knowledge, and experience with integrated audio systems. Exposure to control system programming is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide onsite technical support for AV systems, ensuring high availability and performance
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues across AV environments
- Support and maintain audio-visual equipment including displays, conferencing systems, and control interfaces
- Assist with AV system installations, upgrades, and commissioning
- Work closely with internal teams and end users to deliver high-quality support and user experience
- Troubleshoot network-related AV issues (e.g. IP-based AV, VLANs, multicast)
- Maintain documentation, asset records, and support logs
- Escalate complex issues where necessary and coordinate with vendors
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as an AV Technician providing onsite support
- Strong understanding of AV systems and signal flow (audio and video)
- Good networking knowledge (IP addressing, switching, basic routing, VLANs)
- Experience with audio integration and tuning
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and customer-facing abilities
Desirable Skills
- Experience with control system programming in at least one of the following:
- Extron
- Crestron
- AMX
- Q-SYS
- Familiarity with conferencing platforms (e.g. Teams, Zoom Rooms)
- Experience with AV-over-IP technologies
- Relevant AV or networking certifications
