Role: Systems / Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft Stack) Location: Remote with occasional on-site meetings
Salary: Up to £40,000 (depending on experience)
Employment Type: Permanent
Overview We are seeking a Systems / Infrastructure Engineer to join an established IT team supporting a Microsoft-based technology environment. This role is ideal for an engineer with experience across Microsoft infrastructure, scripting, and systems administration who is looking to develop their technical skills within a collaborative and supportive team.
The role offers a largely remote working model, with occasional team meet-ups when required.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and support Microsoft infrastructure environments.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide technical support across the environment.
- Assist with infrastructure improvements and system optimisation.
- Work closely with colleagues across IT teams to ensure reliable system operations.
- Participate in a scheduled on-call support rota.
Technical Requirements Essential:
- Experience working with Microsoft technologies
- PowerShell scripting
- Systems administration or infrastructure support experience
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Desirable:
- Experience with SellerPoint
- Exposure to automation or infrastructure optimisation initiatives
Experience
- Typically 3–5 years’ experience in a systems engineering or infrastructure support role.
- Candidates with more experience may also be considered.
