Healthcare Project Architect

Must Be Licensed Architect / Registered Architect (RA)

Base Salary – USD $120,000 to $180,000
Charlotte or Cary, North Carolina  (In-office position with flexibility)

We are seeking a motivated Healthcare Project Architect to manage architectural project design and documentation, engage with consultants and stakeholders, and ensure design purpose is met
The ideal candidate will be passionate about thoughtful design, critical problem-solving, and excellence, with a thorough understanding of architectural ideas, industry standards, and project delivery methods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Lead collaborative project teams with open communication and clear guidance to ensure high performance and project success.
  • Project Planning: Determine functional and spatial needs, specifications, materials, equipment, and construction timeframes with customers.
  • Design & Documentation: Create scale drawings and contracts; utilize computer-aided design for project plans and designs.
  • Coordination: Coordinate project layout and engineering for client approval; work with cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Construction Oversight: Oversee construction contracts and monitor on-site plan compliance.
  • Communication: Attend internal and customer project meetings; keep teams informed through minutes and notes.
  • Mentorship: Manage junior designers’ drawings and specifications; provide feedback and assistance for career development.

Qualifications

  • Healthcare Experience: Required.
  • Education: Five-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in the A/E industry (at least 6 years licensed), with proven experience in healthcare projects.
  • Computer Skills: Revit, AutoCAD, and MS Office Suite experience.
  • Travel: Up to 20% depending on project.
  • Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required (Federal Contractor status); background checks will be performed.

Licenses & Certifications

  • Required: State Architectural License and NCARB Certification.
  • Preferred: LEED or other industry certifications.
