Senior HR Business Partner
Amsterdam, hybrid. (2-3 days on site essential).
Bookwood Recruitment are currently supporting one of the world’s most innovative digital marketplaces, operating at scale across more than 200 countries.They’re looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to work closely with the VP of Data & AI and Marketplace leadership team, helping to shape strategy, guide transformation and build high-performing, future-ready teams.
In this influential role, you will be both a trusted strategic advisor and a hands-on driver of key People initiatives—ensuring the People function delivers impact, alignment and exceptional service across the organisation.
What You’ll Be DoingStrategic Partnership & Leadership Support
- Act as a senior advisor to ELT members and key Marketplace stakeholders, shaping people strategies that support business priorities and growth plans.
- Serve as the primary HR point of escalation for HRBPs and HR Generalists within your business area.
Change Leadership & Organisation Design
- Lead organisational design, structural development and change programmes—ensuring the business is organised for scale, performance and agility.
- Ensure supported teams have the capabilities and talent needed to deliver strategic objectives.
Driving the People Agenda
- Partner with the HR Director and global Senior HRBPs to align the Marketplace People Agenda across regions and functions.
- Ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of People initiatives—from talent attraction and retention to performance optimisation and engagement.
Policy, Process & HR Excellence
- Contribute to the continual improvement of HR policies and practices, ensuring local implementation aligns with global People strategy.
- Collaborate with Centres of Excellence and People Systems & Services to create tailored, high-impact People solutions.
Trusted Voice of the Business
- Represent the business within the People organisation—identifying key challenges, anticipating future needs, and ensuring HR solutions are aligned with real-world priorities.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality HR guidance so business leaders experience HR as a unified, strategic partner.
Who You AreExperience & Knowledge
- 5–8 years HR Business Partner experience with advanced HR knowledge.
- Proven track record improving leadership capability and supporting senior line managers.
- Strong experience managing a complex stakeholder landscape independently.
- Skilled in building business cases, assessing risks, understanding dependencies and recommending fit-for-purpose solutions.

- Confident leading organisational change and driving People initiatives end-to-end.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
