About the Role

 

A well-established, global automotive manufacturing organization in the plastics industry is seeking a highly experienced Sales Manager to oversee key accounts within the automotive sector, including OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers. This confidential role plays a critical part in business development, customer relationship management, and strategic sales execution across North America and beyond.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Manage sales activities and relationships with General Motors
  • Conduct regular customer visits to maintain and grow business.
  • Report on customer product quality and performance issues.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering and operations, to ensure service excellence.
  • Analyze competitor activity and assist in securing new business opportunities.
  • Support sales forecasting, budgeting, and market assessments.
  • Address commercial terms and support payment negotiations.
  • Promote and comply with all health & safety, quality, and environmental standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949).

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in automotive plastic part manufacturing.
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in automotive sales with General Motors
  • Strong commercial and technical acumen with excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email).
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Secondary school diploma (or equivalent) required. Post-secondary education in business, engineering, or related fields is an asset.
