Finance Senior Business Analyst

The organisation is undergoing a finance transformation to support the company’s strategy and future growth. As part of this journey, we are evaluating how best to equip the finance organisation to meet its long-term objectives.
We are looking for a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Process/Business Analyst to join our dynamic Finance Transformation team at the organisation. This role is ideal for someone who excels at driving change, managing projects end-to-end, and identifying opportunities for process improvement. You will play a key role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring the successful delivery of initiatives that drive operational efficiency and strategic impact.
In this role, you will analyze and redesign end-to-end business processes, manage project delivery across multiple stakeholders, and support the implementation of intelligent automation solutions. You’ll also work closely with both business and technical teams to gather requirements, ensure regulatory compliance, and align solutions with the organisation’s goals. This role requires strong analytical skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to lead initiatives independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Management (BPM)
- Analyze and document current (“as-is”) business processes, focusing on finance operations.
- Identify process gaps, redundancies, and improvement opportunities.
- Design future-state (“to-be”) process maps aligned with business goals and transformation objectives.
- Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to validate process flows and proposed improvements.
- Support the implementation of process changes and ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor key process metrics and recommend continuous improvements.
Business Analysis for RPA/AI Initiatives
- Partner with finance teams to identify opportunities for automation using RPA, AI, and other intelligent automation tools.
- Gather and define both functional and non-functional requirements for automation solutions.
- Collaborate with developers and solution architects to translate business needs into technical specifications.
- Support the design, testing, and deployment of automation solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Participate in discovery, feasibility analysis, and ROI assessment for automation use cases.
Transformation Project Management (PMO/PM)
- Independently lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource planning, and risk assessments.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder communication and expectations.
- Track project performance, providing updates and reporting to leadership.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget, meeting quality standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
Knowledge
- A strong understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) methodologies.
- Proficiency in end-to-end business analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of project management frameworks (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) and related tools for planning and reporting.
- Familiarity with process and project management tools such as Signavio, Celonis, and Jira.
Experience
- 5 to 12 years of relevant work experience.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
- A proven track record in delivering business transformation and process improvement initiatives.
- Hands-on experience managing projects independently, including planning, execution, and stakeholder management.
- Experience with RPA/AI projects and working closely with technical teams to deliver automation solutions.
- A strong background in process mapping, requirement gathering, and engaging stakeholders across teams.
Skills
- Ability to independently manage projects and support programs, preferably within finance.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Signavio)
- Project management tools (e.g., Jira)
- RPA/AI platforms (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Power Automate)
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- A self-starter with the ability to drive initiatives independently.
