Account Manager – Global Vendor
Location: Field-based (UK) – Must reside within 2 hours of Hemel Hempstead
Salary: £40,000 – £42,000 + car allowance and c£15,000 OTE

Position Overview:

Join a leading global technology provider who are looking to bolster their sales team in the components division with a driven Account Manager. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining and enhancing relationships with key partners, while also capitalising on new business opportunities with both existing and potential resellers, e-tailers, and system integrators. With an assigned customer base that may be regional or specific named accounts, you will be instrumental in achieving and exceeding the business’ impressive growth trajectory.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set and achieve revenue and unit sales targets, consistently striving to exceed expectations.
  • Monitor and optimize investments to maximize return and promote sustainable growth.
  • Devise and implement creative strategies to meet revenue, unit, and market share goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align individual goals with overall business objectives.
  • Evaluate market data to identify growth opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and business partners.
  • Attend regular meetings, calls, training sessions, and industry trade shows with partners and clients.
  • Plan and manage product launches and introductions to market for assigned accounts.
  • Communicate product roadmaps, technological advancements, and strategic initiatives effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers’ product needs and relay insights to internal teams.
  • Actively contribute to marketing communications, both internally and externally.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure open communication and collaboration.
  • Handle necessary administrative duties and support translation efforts when required.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with expertise in presentations, customer service, and business negotiations.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to engage with assigned accounts and work closely with managers, sales teams, and channel partners.
  • Solid understanding of the sales process and channel sales environments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic organization, managing multiple tasks with high energy and efficiency.
  • Proven experience in consumer or commercial sales.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
